23 Feb. lab. meeting

1 sequence
if you have the DNA samples need to do sequence, please tell Jaime.

2 boat diving plan
 3 Mar. - 4, we will go diving Ourawan.
14 Mar. - 15 or 16 Mar. - 17, we will go diving Teniya.

3 fishing plan
Jaime parents will come and go fishing, Payao.
Its date don't be decided yet, may be any day, 20 Mar. - 26

4 cleaning
the end of March or the start of April, let's clean our room.

5 Jamie live at Uruma, so he can't come back Univ. at night.
Skype is usable.

6 Coral reef book
If you want the coral reef book which is published by the committee of coral reef,
please tell it Jamie or Takuma-san.

7 Coral work shop 'the identification and classification of coral' will be hold at 24 Mar. -27.

Happy New Year, and a new paper!

2011 looks to be a great year for MISE. We hope you all have a wonderful year, and enjoy your field work.

Also, one new paper accepted at Marine Biology today:
James Davis Reimer, Mamiko Hirose, Yuka Irei, Masami Obuchi, Frederic Sinniger. The sands of time: Rediscovery of the genus Neozoanthus (Cnidaria: Hexacorallia) and evolutionary aspects of sand encrustation in brachycnemic zoanthids. Marine Biology (accepted).

We had a new paper on spawning in Palythoa accepted - congratulations to Mamiko for her hard work!

12/9 lab meeting

1. Nasu Satoko(3th student) will become lab. member from next week. (for a month)
2. When you notice that Rising star billding room's smell is bad, please tell it Jaime or Obuchi-san.
3. Now, we don't have a parking lot for Rising star billding.
4. Next week Mondey, Jamie will go to OIST at Uruma city.
                  Tuesday, Jaime, Kris and Nate will go diving to Bise. If you want, tell Jaime.
                  Thursday, a man who is German will come to lab.
